Hello alumni, staff, retired staff � and all other friends of Macdonald High School!
Over 1,700 of you showed up at the last reunion. As a result, the Macdonald High School Alumni Association (MHSAA) was able to donate $ 20,000 to Macdonald High School!
Last year, the MHSAA created a sub-committee, the Macdonald High School Centennial Celebrations Committee (MHSCCC) to plan a reunion to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Macdonald High School in 2007.
In late November, on behalf of the MHSCCC, I sent an e-mail to about 1,500 Mac High Alumni. In that e-mail, we announced the Centennial Reunion May 18-20, 2007. In order to gauge the interest, we also asked alumni and staff to complete a census form.
The results are now in! I presented the following statistics at the MHSCCC meeting last week:

613 alumni & staff have completed the census form.

586 alumni & staff say that they either plan to attend or think they will be able to attend the reunion.�

530 are from Canada, 43 from the USA, 6 from the UK, 2 each from Spain & Switzerland, and 1 each from Australia, Barbados, & Ghana.�

Of the Canadians interested in attending, 215 are from Quebec, 199 from Ontario, 46 from BC, 32 from AB, 16 from NS, 12 from MB, 8 from NB � and 1 each from the Yukon and Newfoundland & Labrador.�

By year, it�s the 60�s & 70�s who lead the pack: only a couple of the years have under 10 who are interested in attending, and most of the years have between 15 and 30. The best responses: 30 from 1970, 27 each from 1974 and 1982, and 25 from 1973.
The MHSCCC has been working hard since last year, arranging tents, entertainment, etc. Info about the reunion can be found here.
Now it�s time for you to do your part: Register for the best party that Ste. Anne�s will ever see!
