Karen Jones, Mac Grade 8 teacher with a big heart, helped her class to produce The MAC Urban Legend; The Ghost of Macdonald High School and planned to fund the project out of her own pocket. Thanks to your generosity, MHSAA, each student will receive a copy of the book; a special colour edition will be added to the library’s Authors’ Alcove in Septenber. This marks the first student contribution to the alcove.
Your executive is delighted to be called upon to play a part in encouraging these energetic young people. The bulldog reigns supreme!

I would like to contact some of my garuated class from Mac 1974
Brian, you might also try posting your message on the Bulletin Board under Class of 1974 : http://machigh.org/phpbb/
Thank you so much to the Alumni and especially Mrs. Vivian Bruce for her support and encouragement while we wrote this book. It was a great experience for all the students. We had an opportunity one night during the school year to search for the ghost. We brought video cameras, night goggles, tape recorders, cameras, pencils and paper and documented our findings. With the help of the Media Dept., we created a DVD of the evening- very similar to those ghost hunting shows on cable. What fun!! On September 30th. we will be presenting our book to our librarian, Mrs. Davis and it will officially be placed in the Author’s Arcove. Thank you once again. We couldn’t have done it without you!!
You are very welcome Mrs. Jones! Mac Alumni is always delighted when staff and students include us in ‘family’ happenings.
On behalf of the Association, I would be delighted to attend your function on Wednesday, September 30th at 4 pm – thank you for asking!
Is the book available for sale? I found it a bit sad that the Gazette wrote an article about the book and left out the title… I found it here but with no mention as to if it is available for purchase or where someone who is interested could read it.
OMG! GO MAC!! AWESOME BOOK! WE LOVE YOU MRS.JONES! AND THE GRADE 8 CLASS! AWESOMEE!! HEHEHE
A specially bound, coloured edition of the book was produced as a gift to Mac Library’s Authors’ Alcove. Perhaps if you contact Mrs. Jones, via the school office, she could be of help. There may be a couple of extra copies of the B&W edition flaoting around.
