The MHSAA is a not-for-profit organization with free membership and a school spirit that transcends the historical Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue building.  Centennial year (2007) marked the beginning of the MHSAA Annual Award for Student Leadership.  Funds raised during the celebrations, coupled with ongoing donations from Mac alumni, subsidize both the award, periodic gifts to the school and lean operating costs.    

For a nominal fee, Pearson Education Foundation (PEF) has been a tremendous help through overseeing management of the funds and offering excellent advice. 

We have a close connection with the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) Churchill Branch 91 (Que.) who, at the Centennial Celebrations, worked shoulder-to-shoulder with us during a vital part of the event.  They continue to offer us a venue for our meetings and the tradition of camaraderie continues. 

We welcome invitations from teachers looking for guest speakers on varied topics.  The school library now has a designated shelf, “Authors’ Alcove” for the several published works of Mac Alumni. The school flag and podium banner were designed and supplied by the Alumni; we wrote the lyrics for our school anthem and the melody is a work in progress.

As the executive committee grows, our aim is to hold fund raising events, in collaboration with the school and the RCL.  The volunteer bank is wide open to replenishing, and top-ups to the award funds will keep our initiatives on track.
