Looking for picture of graduating class of 1941 for an alumnus, Florence Perron. Also news of any former classmates from that year that know her.

Hi there! Good to hear from you and to answer your question: no, I don't think there were any plans to raise money. The only coloured copy is in the school library; the others are B&W and were sponsored by the Alumni Association such that each participating student could have a personal copy.
Merry Christmas and the best of the New Year to you and yours,

Viv Bruce

Hi,

I think it's great that the students & Mrs Jones took the initiative to write a book. I would have liked to have purchased the book. Are there any plans to raise money with this book?
Thanks very much,

Very interested in learning more about this alumni group. Have never heard of reunions until too late but would love to know of any future events.
I live in Brantford ON and have 3 siblings who all attended Macdonald H.S. - 2 in Ottawa and one out west in Alberta.
Grew up in Terrasse Vaudreuil although no family remains there unfortunately.
Love to hear more.

Hi Brian,

Sorry you weren't able to make it home for the shin-dig; maybe next time :-) We put together a Sunday Dedication Album that turned out to be quite a hit. Here's the clip from the web site:

Sunday, May 20th, 2007, marked a turning point in Mac’s history. We officially entered the second centennial of our existence. To mark the occasion, MHSAA has produced a commemorative album with photos, anecdotes, speeches and sweet memories of the ceremony. Anyone wishing to order a copy is welcome to contact me, Vivian Bruce and we can proceed from there.
Canadian orders will be honoured upon receipt of a $50 cheque; postage and packaging included.

At this point we have sold out but I intend to have more copies printed in the very near future and could include your order if you wish. Just let me know.

The other avenue you might want to explore is that of posting an 'ad' on the bulletin board http://machigh.org/phpbb/. Perhaps some of your old buddies were there and could help out.

Good luck!

Dayle! How wonderful to hear from you! We missed you at the 2000 reunion and again at the Centennial Celebrations in 2007, although, I did try to catch up with you and several people asked after you. It was Don Barnes who gave me the heads-up about Zoomer. You may not remember him, as he came to the school as a young teacher when we were in our senior year.

A note aside: I will always remember a birthday gift you gave me when we were in elementary school. You said something close to this: "My mother told me that when you give a gift, give something from your heart." You gave me a little ballerina broach of your own which I cherished for many years. How touched I was at the time and it makes me feel good to know that I was able, finally, to give YOU a gift from the heart...a place of prominence on our little web site!

Take care, dear girl. I have followed your career, have read your book and look for more wonderful accomplishments. You do good work.

Love and a big hug,
Viv
