What is the hardest to do in volleyball? ›

Blocking is one of the volleyball skills that takes the longest too perfect and has one of the steepest learning curves. Therefore it can be said to be the hardest or most difficult skill in indoor volleyball. There are a lot of variables when it comes to blocking and how they interact with your blocking technique.

The object of the game is to hit the ball over the net and into the other team's territory, without letting the ball hit the ground. The team that wins the most points in a set, usually wins the match. In full-sided volleyball, there are six players on each team–three on the front row and three on the back row.

Each non-deciding game will be won by the team that first scores 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap). If there is a deciding game, it will be won by the team that first scores 15 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap). Point will be scored on each rally.

Play 6 on 6 or 5 on 5 and train your players to read the game. The defenders will learn how to read an attacker's arm, body position and approach, and communicate about what they read. This drill is an excellent way to increase your team's level of communication and volleyball IQ.

Height is not the sole determining factor in volleyball success. Although taller players tend to have an advantage when it comes to blocking and spiking, shorter players can still excel in the sport with the right skillset.

One of the key volleyball positions in volleyball is the libero. The libero position was initially added to provide a unique position for smaller players. Today, the libero is a unique and important position that's played by players of many different sizes.

Of all the rules in Volleyball, ball handling is probably the most misunderstood. The ball is allowed to touch any part of the players' body from head to toe as long as the contact is legal. Yes, a player can kick the ball, which is a legal contact.

Contacting the ball with a foot is legal, however the player's foot MUST NOT leave the ground during the effort. The foot must be slid across or dropped into position on the floor into the path of the ball. The foot/leg cannot be lifted from the ground to contact the ball at any time.

A team may touch the ball no more than three times. The same player can't touch the ball twice in a row. Once somebody on the other team touches the ball, you get three more tries to put it over the net and in. A ball is "in" if any part of the ball touches any part of the line, or if the ball is fully on the court.

Probably setters, but actually. we do all the work. and we're running around, and we barely ever get to actually touch the ball. So setters, like, technically, but I would say the center position is the hardest.
